Madsen Minax is an instrumental connoisseur obsessed with werewolves, agency, intimacy, parting, decay and a slew of other stuff. A self proclaimed “jerk,” he is also a multi-media artist/hellraiser and curator currently living, working, playing, and crying in Chicago, IL. He is a graduate student in Art Theory and Practice at Northwestern University.

He was once compared to a fine sample platter.

Madsen’s work is often an integration of film/video, story and text, songs and music, pop culture, drawing, and love. But when he’s not making arty things he sings and plays bass in the band/collective Actor Slash Model, and plays guitar and sings in the band The Homoticons.

He has been known to make a living through editing educational films, serving mediocre coffee drinks, and giving mediocre tattoos out of his basement, amongst other things.
